[Exhibition] PATHFINDER Participates in the 2025 Gyeongnam Content Fair
■Previewing the Spatial Drawing Content D-LINK (DRAW-LINK) at the Gyeongnam Content Fair
FUNNYBON, a developer of immersive XR·VR content and spatial technologies, participated in the 2025 Gyeongnam Content Fair under its former name, PATHFINDER. The event was held at the Changwon Exhibition Convention Center from December 6 to 7, 2025.
Hosted by the Gyeongnam Culture and Arts Foundation, the event was held under the theme “Wonderland Gyeongnam Connected by Content, NEXT ICON – I am CONtents”, bringing together content companies, creators, institutions, and visitors from across the region.
FUNNYBON participated as an AR·VR content company, introducing its own content while also taking part in business matching and industry meetings to explore future collaboration and commercialization opportunities.
■Previewing D-LINK Before Commercial Release
At the event, FUNNYBON previewed D-LINK, a spatial drawing content project that was still under development at the time.
D-LINK was designed as a spatial drawing experience that allows users to view the physical environment through an XR headset and create text and drawings in the air using hand gestures.
At the time, D-LINK had not yet been commercially released. The purpose of the showcase was not to promote a finished product, but to present the content to visitors and industry professionals and gather feedback on usability, interaction, content understanding, and possible applications.
The team observed how intuitively users understood spatial drawing, what types of use cases they imagined, and whether the concept could develop into a shared experience involving multiple participants.
■Exploring a New Drawing Experience in Physical Space
The core idea behind D-LINK was to expand drawing beyond conventional screens and flat displays into the physical environment itself.
Using an XR headset, users could look at their real surroundings and place drawings and text directly into the space around them.
The experience aimed to provide intuitive interaction through hand gestures rather than controller-focused input, while also exploring whether users with limited XR experience could participate naturally.
During the exhibition, FUNNYBON observed how visitors responded to this form of spatial drawing and collected feedback to improve interaction and overall user experience.
■Evaluating the Potential of Spatial Content Through Field Feedback
At the Gyeongnam Content Fair, FUNNYBON received a range of feedback on D-LINK’s interaction methods, content direction, and potential applications.
The idea of using the physical environment itself as a space for expression suggested possibilities across education, exhibitions, tourism, events, and experiential programs.
The exhibition also provided an opportunity to observe unexpected user behaviors and use cases that had not been fully anticipated during development.
These field insights became valuable references for improving the content’s functions, user experience, and potential areas of application.
■Exploring New Collaboration Through Business Matching
In addition to hands-on experiences for general visitors, the event also provided opportunities for business exchange among content companies, institutions, and industry professionals.
Through business matching sessions, FUNNYBON introduced D-LINK and its broader XR technologies while discussing potential applications and collaboration opportunities across education, culture, exhibitions, and tourism.
Presenting the content before commercial release allowed the company to hear directly from potential users and partners and consider how the content could evolve and connect with future markets.
■From Regional Testing to Broader Spatial Experiences
FUNNYBON participated in the Gyeongnam Content Fair for a second consecutive year, continuing to build connections within the regional content industry.
By introducing technologies and content developed in the region to real users and industry professionals, FUNNYBON has continued to use field feedback as part of its development process.
The spatial drawing and user participation concepts explored through D-LINK later contributed to the development of spatial content, and FUNNYBON is now continuing to advance this direction through PIN-CANVAS.
FUNNYBON will continue expanding physical spaces into new environments for content and interaction, developing XR and spatial experiences that allow people to participate, create, and share together.
